Once our calendars match up, you'll be all set. You'll receive online paperwork along with an invite to join our client portal. Paperwork can be submitted right thru the portal before your initial appointment
We typically start clients on a weekly basis, then drop down to every other week and then monthly. Our goal is to provide you with all the support you need to feel successful.
The idea of giving yourself full, unconditional permission to eat whatever you feel like can feel scary and overwhelming. Think about it like a pendulum - when we pull it all the way to one side and let go, it picks up momentum and swings all the way to the other side, right? Intuitive Eating is a self-care eating framework that integrates instinct, emotion, and rational thought. Intuitive Eating allows for self compassion, curiosity and a gentle approach to food.
Intuitive eating might look, feel, and work differently for different folks; this means that the process of getting there will likely look different too.
If you've struggled with disordered eating, hating your body, or been on some sort of diet for as long as you can remember, intuitive eating can enhance your well being and help you find please with food.
The only necessity for the first appointment is to have your paperwork completed. After that, you simply need to show up. You might feel comfortable sharing all of your story and you might feel comfortable sharing only a small piece of your story. However you show up is just right. Your dietitian will guide you thru the rest.
